Cosmic Meows

A fast-paced 2D action-platformer where two cosmic cats fight, move, and survive as one.

About the Game

Cosmic Meows is built around a single core idea:

Two cosmic cats, fused into one controllable entity.

You control a unique dual-form character where each cat represents a distinct gameplay role. Mastering real-time switching between movement and combat is essential to survive corrupted worlds, hostile enemies, and unstable terrain.

One form specialises in speed, agility, and traversal while the other focuses on combat, melee attacks, and projectile-based damage. True mastery comes from knowing when to switch and how to chain abilities together.

As part of the core experience, the game introduces an Invincibility Mode inspired by the concept of a cat’s nine lives. In this state, the player gains massive power and increased movement speed, allowing aggressive playstyles. However, this strength comes at a cost — health continuously drains over time, making it a high-risk, high-reward mechanic.

Core Gameplay

  • Real-time form switching — seamlessly swap between two cosmic forms
  • Momentum-based platforming — tight, physics-driven movement
  • Projectile combat — ranged astral attacks with knockback feedback
  • Dash traversal — close gaps and evade enemies at speed
  • Shared health — one health pool across both forms
  • Merchants & skill progression — earn points and unlock abilities
  • Invincibility Mode — trade health over time for extreme power and speed

The Twin Forms

Movement Form

  • Fast, agile, and momentum-focused
  • Dash through enemies and gaps (once unlocked)
  • Best suited for exploration and evasion

Attack Form

  • Slower but highly destructive
  • Uses melee and projectile-based attacks (once unlocked)
  • Designed to control enemies both up close and at a distance

Power-Ups & Tactical Control

Power-ups are collected during exploration and stored for manual use. Nothing is consumed automatically — you decide when to survive.

  • Healing Potion
Restores a fixed amount of health when activated
  • Shield Charge
Absorbs one incoming hit before breaking

  • Spend points in a branching skill tree
  • Currently unlockable abilities:
